Why come to Othona?

For a wide range of workshops, retreats and family holidays?

Stay for a weekend or up to a week. Creativity, relaxation, contemplation, learning, fun – all part of the Othona experience.

You yearn for a greater sense of community?

Welcome and acceptance have been hallmarks of Othona since 1946. With us you're not just a guest but part of a community.

You want a spirituality for today and tomorrow?

People of all faiths and none love Othona. We honour our Christian roots but draw on other traditions too. We encourage an adult spirituality: down-to-earth, light-hearted, not afraid of change.

You've heard it's beautiful here?

It is! Our untamed ecologically managed grounds overlook a deserted beach – just 15 minutes walk through woods and meadows. This is the landscape celebrated in the television series, Broadchurch, and in the 2015 film adaptation of Thomas Hardy's, Far from the Madding Crowd.
