This is the title of a gem of a book on “the forgotten art of experiencing God in the depths of the present moment” – in other words, Contemplation. Its author, Simon Small, is an Anglican priest whose own journey has also embraced New Age and Eastern spiritualities. From that background he has found a way of speaking about the contemplative experience which is concise, practical, accessible and contemporary. If we know where to look in the Christian tradition, we find the essence of the great enlightenment teachings of the East was always with us, hidden in plain sight!
