Getting involved – volunteering

Othona's local friends support the community in all kinds of voluntary ways.

The resident core community, with a maximum of six people, cannot do all that's needed to keep Othona running. Nor should it try to! A healthy community has an ebb and flow of volunteers and part-timers. Some examples of ways you might like to be involved:
• help regularly weeding, planting etc. in our polytunnel and fruit cage
• offer a hand for one-off jobs like envelope stuffing, log splitting or marmalade making
• keep a watching brief on sewing jobs and our linen cupboard
• serve on a committee or task team
• help out in our library, labelling new books, keeping shelves sorted

If anything like this attracts you, please arrange to talk it over with us
