Thanks to core member Alison (and her new hat!) we now have an 'official' Facebook group for Othona West Dorset.

Why?

Partly because this website – although we update it about once a month – isn't very spontaneous. And of course it's not set up for being interactive.

But Facebook can be both. If you're already on Facebook, why not become one of our friends? If you're not, maybe this is just the nudge you need to join. Let me be honest: personally I've fought shy of Facebook, in spite of being invited to join a few times. Now I'm gonna give it a try.

What?

What'll be on it? Only time will tell. Photos, for sure. Anecdotes and the odd joke maybe. Snippets of news about what's happening here – mostly light-hearted but some a bit more meaty. Notice of things coming up which maybe you'd like to join in with.

And of course whatever you like to contribute. Some people are itching to write about something they've just attended at Othona – with or without their best photos. Or a reflection on some Othona-friendly topic. Maybe a link to some relevant organisation or event which other friends may like to know about. Or just something creative you'd like to share – the song you've written or the cartoon you've drawn. And it'll be a good way to tip your own friends off about Othona.

If you're not satisfied with what you see... why not add something yourself? This is all an experiment for us – let's see where it ends up.
